Dear Dr. Mussalli, Dr. Worth, and the Village OB team,
Happy 2012! It was great seeing you the other day.
It’s a shock to realise it has been almost two and a half years since Dr. Mussalli and midwife Brooke assisted at the birth of our first child, Olivia Rose. We had such a brilliant experience that we could hardly wait to do it all again! In October 2011, our son whom we named Elvin Lloyd, arrived safe in the hands of Dr. Worth. Finally, I am writing to send our thanks for all you have done for our family.
Though no newcomer to adventure, giving birth (medication-free) to my daughter was by far the most beautiful, profound, and empowering 24 hours of my life. I remain in awe of the humanity Dr. Mussalli brought to the experience, and to this day, continue in my heart and mind to re-live many truly transcendent moments. With Dr. Worth present the second time around, I was perfectly at ease and enjoying my labour(!) without fear in the knowledge that my baby and I were supported and safe. Dr. Worth’s sensitivity and impeccable timing guided me through a very rapid delivery. Forty years earlier, my own birth had been traumatic both for my mother and myself, so it has been incredibly healing to be able to bring my children into the world in such a blissful way. Both babies are and have been from that day on, so bright and present that it astounds me.
There really are no words to express the gratitude we feel for the wisdom, respect, and kindness you both offered throughout our prenatal care visits and during the births of our two babies. Leanne, Lourdes, and Efrat, everything you said and did to make the precious (and sometimes difficult) days of pregnancy a happy time will not be forgotten.
Thank you all from deep in our hearts for your huge contribution to what has been a most treasured and magnificent experience of starting a family. We are confident that our children’s great and gentle arrival into the world will serve them well for the rest of their lives.
Here are a couple of photos of the little ones for your blog. He was a week old when these were taken.
All our love, P&C
