George Mussalli, MD is the former Chairman of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the beloved St. Vincent’s Hospital in Greenwich Village. Before St. Vincent’s, he served as Chief of Obstetrics at North Central Bronx Hospital/Jacobi Medical Center. As Dr. Worth tells patients, “Village Ob is incredibly blessed to have Dr. Mussalli. He is a true rarity – a kind, sensitive, and brilliant high-risk pregnancy doctor who loves to deliver babies and take care of patients day and night.”
Dr. Mussalli stands out as a board-certified Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialist recognized by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. His extensive training at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons uniquely equips him to handle high-risk pregnancies with unparalleled skill and precision. In the Bronx, Dr. Mussalli played a pivotal role in overseeing the pregnancies of thousands of women in a community grappling with high rates of obesity, diabetes, hypertension, and preterm birth. His dedication to providing top-tier care in challenging circumstances underscores his passion for addressing complex maternal-fetal issues.
Beyond his professional achievements, Dr. Mussalli is a father of four, bringing a personal understanding of the joys and challenges of parenthood to his practice. His commitment extends beyond the clinic, as he actively serves his Harlem community at the St. Joseph of the Holiday Family food pantry every other weekend.
