Baby James

Dr. Worth and Dr. Mussalli,

Thank you both for an amazing birth experience for the second time.  You both make pregnancy, labor and delivery an enjoyable experience that only makes one want more children.

I am always recommending you both to friends that are pregnant or trying to conceive.  You are both a true treasure and rarity in NYC when it comes to being able to have a natural birth while maintaining the safety of a hospital setting if an unforeseen complication were to arise.  You listen to a woman’s childbirth desires and help her to have that birth.  We can’t thank you enough.

I attached a picture of you both with James (born 5/28/12), our first family photo, and a picture of Elisabeth holding James.

Also attached is the letter we sent to Dr. Michael Brodman and Dr. Raymond Sandler regarding the wonderful experience we had with you both at Mount Sinai.

We wish you all the best, A&E

Dr. Michael Brodman and Dr. Raymond Sandler:

We wanted to thank Mount Sinai for facilitating a wonderful birth experience.

Our second child, a son, was born on May 28, 2012 and we were thrilled with the outcome on a number of levels.  Dr. Mussalli and Dr. Worth helped us to have the unmedicated, natural birth we wanted, all while maintaining the safety of both mom and baby within a world class hospital setting.  Should any complications have arisen, Mount Sinai’s medical staff and facilities were a comforting backstop if needed, for any unforeseen reason.  The Hospital and its medical staff were key contributors to our positive experience.

We look forward to having future children with Dr. Mussalli and Dr. Worth, and we will recommend both them and Mount Sinai to our friends.   Sincerely,   A&E

Somehow would like to weave in this quote… “It’s very rare to see an undisturbed birth in a modern U.S. hospital,” she told TIME magazine in 2011, “but when you see a woman who isn’t frightened, who’s giving birth without interference, you stand back in awe and realize how little needed you are except in the rare circumstance.” – Ina May Gaskin
