VOb by the Numbers, 10/20/08 to 6/31/09 (154 deliveries)

We believe that our minimally invasive and old fashioned approach to obstetrical care allows the vast majority of our patients an unhurried labor and a vaginal delivery. This trend is demonstrated most clearly by the following statistics: 6% c-section rate when scheduled s-sections excluded; 11% operative delivery rate (forceps), 86% version success rate, 100% vbac success rate.

    Cesarean sections: 21%

    • scheduled*: 15%

    Vaginal deliveries: 79%
    • spontaneous: 64%
    • forceps: 11%
    • vbac**: 5%
